Get to know me

 Welcome to my blog. I want my blog to be quite soothing, cozy and especially full of resources and guideline to look back. 

 

       Hi, this is me →(same day)          Some facts about me is that:

• I'm a student in Ho Chi Minh city taking As Media Studies
• My major is Economics, and I select Media as a genuine hobby and wanting to build a creative foundation to diverisfy my interest, outside of my main subject
• Moreover, I'm intrigued by critique of media consumption
• I have no previous knowledge and skill base in this subject, but fully willing to learn more :>

Why I choose to take Media?

• This is because it was included in the general arrangement of my school subject blocks. Mine included Economics, Business, Maths and Media. I thought I'd give Media a try, as reasons given above. Moreover, as I challenge myself to be more socially critical, looking and investigating in various media products would reflect social and cultural zeigeist outside of my usual reach. I struggled with the work load and vastly different approach to the coursework than the more familiar subjects at first, but I stuck around as I further find them interesting. 
• My initial aim was to learn new things to expand my horizon, familarize myself with some media terms and increase my analysis skill for media text. As the course progresses, I have a bigger, broader aim of making my blog not only a reflection of my journey, but a good reference and starting point for other students from later Media Studies years to look up on.

            And thus, I hope my blog would be useful for me, to unfold my personal journy, as well as giving more perspective and context of this subject for other students to reference upon. I hope my overally managerial and systematic approach to this coursework would help. 🌱
