Reshooting footages
As mention in the previous blog post, we were frustrated with some of the footages
We wanted to reschedule the some of the footages as fast as possible. However, to nnot feel burnt out and repulsed by our work, alongside with other coursework, we set foot on the next Sunday, 19/3.
- Location: Nearby the school
- Equipment: Canon EOS, tripod, zooming lens
- Personnel: Group mate: me, Nat, Renee, Zon + support from Nam Anh
- General rating: Filming was on time, we managed to reshoot more than we thought. We did the bridge scene, alongside with more running scene and a montage based for step printing post production
π± What we did good:
The reshoot looked more to what we envisioned our opening enigma and establishing scene to be, by shooting in directly over the shoulder or match eyeline better for actions to be more sequential. We generally fixed some contuinity problem. Moreover, there were better camera handling in the running scene, as we had more control over the fewer traffic.
I was more in direct handling of the camera too, for fixing its angle and unloading it from the tripod. I was a bit proud of myself for that, being a bit more comfortable and experimentative around aspects I haven't known. Moreover, in the face facing running scene, I got to hold the camera running with Nat, as my teammates had notice "I'm good at running backwards." And I thought it was quite funny.
π± What could be better:
Time management. There were still some scene that we filmed that panned out a little more than others, such as some footages for step printing. Moreover, as the sunset falls so suddenly, the sky color is less consistent, which would also play a big role when we would color grade later.
➡️➡️ We were satisfied enough with the footage to jump straight in post production editing and sound listing.
*Note: When we were at the park filming there was a person dressing up as a plant and poke at people walking by. I thought that was cute
