Sound list
This is our production sound list, to schedule sound recording apart from official shooting, and noting with our editors for sound editing after draft cut
There are a few issues we got with the sound, for not using environmental sound while recording:
- There were a lot of noises from the urban living complex, especially in the park (e.g: vehicles, talking, footstep)
- Heavy wind suffling onto our camera microphone
- We did not have a seperate, specialist recording microphone for out production
Therefore, we give directions and discussion while filming, as we knew from the start that we have to re-record sound sepearately.

Sound record
2/4/2023
Due to schedule and dire need to more realistic diegetic sound, we took on recording a little bit of sound ourselves, than entirely depend on sound stock online.
The sound recording went further beyond imposing a date and record, we stretched back to do a little research about microphone and techniques to record in the field, and borrow any gear we need. We got 2 microphone for this task, including a:
- Zoom 2qn
- Rode Videomic go
In restrospect, as not being compatible to Nat's EOS Kiss x4, we didn't get to test out the Rode go. Only using the Zoom, it proves quite professional for this occasion, and we got really crispy result. However, as increase the gain to get more intricate effect (of footsteps, metal clanging, etc.), we ran into the risk of letting too much environmental noises in. Ultimately, this messed up our recording of heels on the concrete floor the most - which we substitute for online sound track, but others are fine to use in edit.
Below is a small mock up version of all diegetic sound. Noting that this will sound more "whole" when we add ambient and suspenseful music on top of all diegetic level.
Here are some photos of us recording the sound. It was midday and the temperature was record high at around 34ΒΊC.
