Developed Idea
What will happen in the opening scene?
A person struggling to find their place in the world, from within their home city. The fast pacing of changes in the city, from architectural, costumes, lifestyles, etc. throw them off the balance and they don’t know whether they fit in both of the eras.
- Depict their daily life:
Their normal day life consists of waking up, going to school and hanging out with friends after school. The big contrast in their life is that their family is very traditional and strict, yet their friends are very energetic, upbeat, and modern.
2. Strange occurrence:
They start seeing strange things, such as their friends disappearing one by one, or their parents saying non-audible words and warning them not to hangout and stay at home.
3. Last day and spiralization:
They call their friend, asking if they have a meeting afterschool but no dialed back. They call their parents and none picks up. Everything is distorted and falling apart.
The scene ends with multiple shots of them running across the city. Then the MC laying down in their bedroom, eyes shut, closing all windows, radio playing old music while bluetooth speaker play new

The more and more I progressed this idea as an individual project and production, the heavier and heavier it got onto me. And a group offered was much needed, to assist in terms of skills, insights and perspectives, in time that another premise was coming alongside. And thus I have the option to go forward with another premise of the group, which will be Deconstruction of Detective trope, and forgo my urban psychological thriller, which indeed carries a lot of my personal interest.
Still, it is still within the realm of Suspense, and within the realm of subversion and deconstruction of stereotypes, none of my concern and core perspective will be missed, as it should be carried onward with the new premise. (Also I have amazing, open-minded and open for criticism teammates).
